Mine was a Berandelli 20ga. Gamecock. Very light and fast on quail. I sold it to get an L.C. Smith 20ga.

Ithaca SKB 150 12ga, purchased at the Navy Rod & Gun Club, Rota, Spain, for $162 (new) in 1972. Had ordered a Beretta BL-4 20ga, but it arrived with a cracked forend. Might still be an OU guy if that Beretta hadn't been damaged.

Greg, I don't know about you, but I usually have to pay for my guns--even the used ones.

After using my father's Ithica Nitro Special 12 for years, I bought my Stephens 311 16ga in 1957. I still have it and, until last year, only about 1 box of shells had been fired through it. Last year I took it to a trap shoot and doubled its experience! It still has 100% cc.

J Stevens Arms & Tool Co model 325. It had an "Ugly" totally square bar to the frame & forend cocking cams with push rod cocking. Bought used in 1954, it would have been a pre WWI gun. I think it may have been a "Prototype" for an "Innovative" 21.

I was lucky, and L.C.Smith 12 ga, but it had this ugly motled colors all over the metal, and all the others I had seen were shiney silver. Luckily my grandfather set me strait before I tried to make it shine with steel wool!

My first double was a 20ga Savage/Stevens 311 in 1965. I could not hit the side of a barn with it if I was inside. Suffered with it for a couple of years until my grandfather's buddy gave me his Fulton. Still have the Fulton.

Mine was a circa 1913 W. Foerster, 12ga., 30" Krupp Prima barrels, very nice wood, horn trigger gaurd and tasteful engraving (including the butt plate). I was told it was a WW II GI bring back. Being German it has very tight chambers that can be finicky with reloads so I don't shoot it very often.

Mine was a brand new Beretta S57E, 12 bore, SST I ordered through the local agent
and cost, in 1971, USD197.- if memory serves. Subsequently got a second set of
barrels for it and sold it (very daft of me!).

My first double gun was a De Haan O/U, model U5E. 30" barrels, ported (which I regretted), adjustable comb. I paid $1395 for it, and won a Gold Medal in "D" Class 12 Ga East with it my first year at the World Skeet Championships a few years back.

OTOH, my latest double is a CSMC RBL 16 ga, 6.8 lbs.

My first SxS was a 20 gauge Arrieta 570 that I custom ordered. I still have it, and I enjoy shooting it as much now as when I bought it.
