Thanks for the help OWD! If anyone else has any info on the gun, and or makers from the period any info would be greatly appreciated. I do know Gottfried Funk started making guns in Suhl around 1840, later his son joined the company, and that sometime Pre WWI Gebhardt Merkel owned/purchased the company. I have also been told that the gun was fitted with the smooth bores it has now probably late 1890ish. FF (probably Fredrick Funk) is ingraved on the bottom of the bores.
