It sure seems like we Yanks get more worked up over a sub bore SXS best then our English friends do. Although Gough Thomas wrote fondly of his 16, we should remember, it was ordered expressly for the purpose of seeing him through his last days in the field, when he was worried he might not have the fortitude to swing a mighty 12.
