I have been working on this black walnut gunstock and I am now down to the finish, fine detail sanding. I don't know how the rest of you do it, but the dust will absolutely wreck my sinuses for about 2 days. I mean, I am sick from it. I did not use a mask, but I will next time I feel well enough to work on it. I would sand an area and then so I could see details of my work, I would use the shop vac to get the dust. I didn't want to blow the fine dust through out the shop, that is why I vacuumed instead of blowing on the wood. I guess next time I should do it outside with the wind behind me. I am just sick from the dust of it.
