When I built my 7mm ackley I did a lot of research and remember an article but not the author who claimed the 7mm with a 10 twist was the only combination that would put all bullet weights in to the end of a juice can at 100 yds. Mine will do it at 200.
I would like to start a thread to gather information on the smith who built my rifle as he was years ahead. He was shooting groups with a 17 through 3/8 boiler plate. and also had a 50cal.bmg target gun. this in 1965. His name was Charlie Grossman in Milford Ohio.
