I wasn't lost but while deer hunting when I lived in Illinois it was alway good practice to stay on stand as long as there was enough light left for legal shooting. It had gone past that point and I was gathering up my stuff and getting ready to hike out. All of a sudden a realized I was surrounded by a howling pack of coyotes. That's an errie feeling.
