Unfortunately, the market seems to disagree with our opinions. The internet ads are tastefully done, but the fit-and-finish of the final product will be the real proof. I think they're trying to give Ruger a run for their money against the Gold Label.

At least this will keep the local yokals from purchasing a fine SxS and asking the obvious question of "CAN I FIRE MY NEW ITHACA FLUES WITH STEEL SHOT?!?! I WANT TO KILL DUKS. MY CAPS LOCK IS STUCK ON AND I'M NOT YELLING AT YOU. I CAN SLIP IN A 3" SHELL JUST FINE. I HEARD THAT IF YOU WELD A PLATE ON TOP OF THE RECIEVER I CAN FIRE 3 1/2" SHELLS. BOY, THEY SHURE DON'T MAKE 'EM LIKE THEY USED TO."

FWIW.

Looks like Remington is jumping on the SxS band wagon wich isn't such a bad thing but they could do some things different. That gun looks Italian and resembles a friends Charles Daly that seems to break on a regular basis. Everyone is offering a straight stock and single triggers. One thing that I can't stand is fake sideplates on a boxlock like the new LC Smith. I know alot of you guys are straight stock fans but I'd much rather have a semi pistol grip and double triggers. Try and find a SxS that you could call a duck gun. Somewhat heavy to absorb recoil from those 3" or 3 1/2" nontox waterfowl shells that Remington likes to sell. A long set of barrels and choke tubes that will work with large hard shot. It could also be used on the sporting range. I wonder what it would be like to shoot the Ruger with 3" shells or this Remington or new LC Smith. I think ouch! I guess I'll have to go semi custom for this configuration. AYA or Ugartechea I suppose.

I'm so glad Remington is doing this. Obviously, what the potential sxs buying public needs is more foreign-made single trigger 12's and 20's! They are hard to find anymore with all the new domestic double trigger 12's, 16's, and 20's being made. These Premier guns will obviously fill that huge market niche that has been left vacant by the likes of Ruger, Marlin, S&W, etc. etc....

Ridiculous.

I just posted a question on the REMINGTON website. On the SPR210 specifications page they essentially provide specs referring to ONE gun. (The options are blued or nickel plated receiver. Barrle lengths differ slightly.) However, they clearly show TWO radically different shotguns in the pictures and one looks much like a coach gun and the barrels are very short, maybe 20-22 inches. Yet the specs do NOT say anything about this double barreled gun. Why do they provide specs for one gun (the SPR210), but show the inmages of TWO very different shotguns?

Isn't this falsity in advertising?
