JDW... yes, the Fultons were available in .410. RR not according to Brophy's book L.C. Smith Shotguns. We will see if the new book coming out has any indicaton of a Fulton gun in .410. Makes interesting research.

My apoligies if I confused anyone. It is a Hunter Special made in Fulton New York. I should have at least put in a comma.
I assume that the only difference in the Fulton and the Hunter Special is the rotary bolt? I can see no other difference.

Pretty sure I saw a Fulton .410 at a gun show a while back; at $1500 I didn't look long. My memory's fading; maybe it was a Nitro, but I'm almost sure it was a Fulton.

I nave seen Fulton ..410s and I think they also made the Hunter Special in .410 also.. MDC

Brophy's book is wrong, Fultons were made in .410 bore, I have one and I was asking MDC what he thought one was worth. I'm sure the new book will correct this error. Thanks MDC for your estimates.

But do they also have made by Hunter Arms on the barrels. If I'm not mistaken there is another Fulton out there not made by Hunter Arms Company.

They're definitely made by Hunter and marked so.. MDC

JDW: The barrels on my .410 bore read: "The Fulton" (on right barrel) and "Hunter Arms Co. Inc. M'F'R'S Fulton, NY, U.S.A." (on the left barrel), just as MDC said. Hunter Arms did make the .410 even if it isn't mentioned in Brophy's book. I just think it was an omission in the printing.

What an over-site on Brophy's part. Most of his information from Hunter Arms Co. is very accurate. From what I've heard, the new book even states that they couldn't add a lot because his informaton was very accurate. The new book is out, and a few people have received it. I hope there is some information on these in there and hopefully soon someone will post said so.
That's why these different forums on different sites bring information out on a lot of old and hardly seen guns.
