Hello gentlemen:

I have a lot of old 410 ammo 3" paper shotshells (from the 70´s) loaded each one with 5 nasty 0.33" lead balls (I do not know if they are 0 or 00 buck)
For me that load are usless, but I was thinking to change that buck pellets for #9 chilled shot that I already have.
I weighted the 5 pellets and they weight, on average 270 grains, so my question is, can I change for #9 shot (same weight, of coures)without any possible danger?
The shotshells are roll crimped, so it is easy to meke that change and convert a lot of usless ammo to a very nice quail load. I only need to increas a little the wad column with some tissue paper in order to close again the roll crimp at the same height.

Please, if you think I am doing something stupid or, worse, danger, please comment.

Thank you in advance for your wise replies.

Best regards,

Jose
