I bought a English Walnut blank and several Black Walnut blanks from Goby. I was very under enthused with them. In fact I still have not used them. Maybe for firewood if needed.

J. Earl and Charlene are about the nicest people you will ever meet. When he first posted his blanks a few years ago, I contacted him to see if he had others for sale. He invited me over, and allowed me to pick the ones I wanted. I found several nice blanks at very reasonable prices. Last time I talked to him he was no longer doing stock work, which is a shame, he did very good work. -JB

I also buy from Ali Ekber Denli.
Never been disappointed.
But, for big rifles, I strongly suggest you look at Australian wood.
This fella has supplied some of the finest wood available from Aust/NZ for 30 years.
