Found a wonderful English percussion rifle at the Dulles show this weekend (go figure). Has the broad graduated top rib for the WR type sliding sight (missing, naturally). Would have been a fabulous African "light" rifle. It needs a rosewood ramrod. Any idea who would have an original or could build one?

Joe, you're probably going to find it easier to make one yourself. Buy a round dowel at leat a couple inches longer than you need and slowly scrap it down to the correct diameter. Takes a little time to do properly but not complex. Here's a site I found on the net that supplies them: http://www.dowelsondemand.com/prices.html

I have a rose wood dowel that would probally do but I have no idea about the tip. If you can find a copy of the Dixie gunworks catalog they used to have a good selection of tips. It sounds like you are in TX, perhaps we can get together?
