I checked out the site, and I found most of the photos to be quite poor, and therefore I had a really hard time seeing the checkering well...in my very limited experience even a very high-quality photo still masks a lot of flaws, but these would make it impossible to judge the work.
I would love to have access to really good photos of really good work though--checkering is definitely something I am working hard to improve my abilities in, and while I have come a long way I know I have a ton to learn.
A couple years ago I sent my freshly finished Fox stock to Mike Campbell to be checkered so that I had a benchmark to use as I improved my skill--seeing that work in person and in photos was a big help getting me up a level.

Are there other resources, books, websites, etc that any of you know of that might help in this journey?? (I've already checkered all available wooden surfaces in my house and yard...Pete must be on to something)
