Some like GregSy see manners merely as superficial packaging, and those so-called manners are obviously of no consequence. But what about the fundamental manners of simply treating others with respect? Those kinds of manners are inseparable from behavior that matters. In discussion here, respect requires little more than espousing our values without characterizing those with whom we disagree as less than human. RWTF often did the latter, and after a while I too chose not to display his posts. If I was interested in welding I might have brushed aside the hate to find value in the information he contributed.
