Ted, do you mean that 700's have the pins integral to the hammers? I could be misremembering here, but I thought the 700's had separate firing pins, maybe even bushed ones--which makes them pretty easy to remove and replace.

Yes, Larry. The gun was in production so long, that it could have changed, but, the example that goes hunting with me (owned by hunting partner) has the integral hammers/pins. Yes, it has broken one of those hammers, on the opening shot of opening day, and the gun was down the rest of the season.
Not a great design. Bushed is good, but, the Beretta's generic pins are good, too. Easily serviced.

I'll second what JM and Larry said. Either one would be a good choice. Which one feels best? Then again, I'll go with what the others say about buying both if you can. (By the way, I am running for office this fall and I hope you all will shed a vote for me.) Thanks. Jimmy.
