I've been through every iteration of a sxs known, and for my wingshooting, which is almost exclusively for Sporting Clays and dove, I want a single trigger, pistol grip, semi-beavertail gun very similar to a Win. 21's classic configuration. Works fine for my turkey hunting also. But I would want that style regardless of gauge; my 20 ga. Launch Edition RBL is just right.
I just received a new RBL 12 ga. with 32" bbls. in this configuration and it is absolutely stunning in how well it handles and shoots. Best handling "big gun" I've ever shot.
I can appreciate the classic English game gun with straight grips, double triggers, and splinter forends, but I've long since moved on from that style for the volume shooting I do.
