I have owned a couple of Lindner Daly "dogs". I guess that is not the discussion of the day. However, nice as some of the floorplate dogs are on hammerless Lindners, I can't quite abide the droop headed and droop tailed versions. There are both great looking pointing dogs and droop ended dogs on the floorplates of guns in the same era. In the real world, finding birds is more important than classy points, but when engraving a gun, I would prefer a classy looking point. I especially like the perky eared posture of the George Ulrich setters that look like puppies pointing their first birds.
