i'm convinced that using fresh right quality load will result in no damage to this gun.
old loads with oxidized pellets flying in clumps would be different matter entirely.
Jagermeister they have made improvements to the quality of wads used in steel shot cartridges recently but they haven't figured out how to get steel to compress and flow through chokes without bridging and bulging bores the way lead, bismuth and tungsten matrix does. Lack of lethality aside that is why I don't shoot steel at any game or in any gun with barrels not specifically designed for it.
