Thanks for all of the info CC!

You mentioned that the formerly available heel and toe plates are not kosher for real Victorian guns-is it just the fact that the new ones are not solid and flat on the underside, or is the shape of the new ones today?

If the modern day shape of the H&T plates is off, do you have some pics or know where we can find pics of what they should look like?

thanks!

Well, I can't thank everyone enough! I figured if a guy like me was looking for them, the real artists of wood and steel needed them. I put a basic Fajen Neidner buttplate on my Ruger 10/22 mannilicher stock, and it looks OK, but I've got a piece of very nice walnut going on a Swedish Mauser that really needs the skeleton. Then the LC Smith is next... I'll keep checking the thread for when the production starts up and send Mr. Fewless an order!

CC, Your right in one, looks like we have the same taste in "butts"
This one resides on a 12 ga.HG by Henry Benjamin of 61 1/2 Fore Street, London and appears pretty conventional until disassembled to reveal an triple underbite patent by Thomas Perkes. Will attach a couple pics.Only example I've seen? Any in your travels?
Cheers, Terry

We have a Holland and Holland with a Perkes triple bolt. Came out of South Africa. The amazing thing about this gun is that the bbls are 26", close to nominal bores, and they have lots of choke!~
