New this year: Chapuis double rifle being built on 28 ga frame in 6.5x57, 7x65R, 8,57JRS, 30-30 and 9.3x74. Dont think 9.3 will be fun to shoot. supposed ot be under 6 1/2 lbs. round body with ejectors. has me thinking. Wish it was in 30-40 Krag.

The UGEX I have is about that weight w/o scope and it's fun to shoot even with that hard wood butt. No rubber pad on mine. It'll be fine!

Is is Verney Caron that makes an ultralight 9.3X74 double? I handled one that Kebco had on display and I wouldn't care if it hurt, I still want to shoot it. It was lovely in the hands.

Brian:
I can't seem to find these on the Chapuis web site. Am I looking in the wrong place? A .30-30 stocked for use with a 2-3/4X scope would be just the ticket for where I hunt whitetails in north-central Pennsylvania. Any idea what ammo Chapuis is using to regulate these?

Remington - It seems you and I are up the same tree. I hear about all these great things, particularly calibre offerings fro the Chapuis doubles, and can't get a peep from anybody to help me out. Is this an eclectic illuminata type coven protecting this information or can it be given out to a middle aged American? Basically, I think I'd like to buy one of these f@#$%ing things and cosmic forces are barring me.

Contact Dale Nygard http://www.heirloomarmes.com/inventory.htm Or Ken (Bush?), 'Kebco' thru a PM here. Both gentlemen are top notch quality.

The Merkel 141E is on a 28 gauge frame. A couple of times in the woods fellows have questioned my sanity for hunting with a "double 410". Mine is a 9.3X74R and it definitely lets you know when it is fired. Could on a good rap on the cheek with that Chapuis.
