You should be very slow to drop a reamer of any kind in those barrels before you have had them measured and know that there is enough steel to tolerate the change. The chamber/cone mod in an already light gun could easily make for toooooo thin barrels... Have a VERY competent gunsmith make that evaluation.

There was a monster thread on this very topic quite recently. My unanswered question then was if it didn't make any difference then why did the gunmakers mark short chambers? Why not just the gauge? And you knew the gun was a 2.5" when you bought it. Why did you do that if you had any reservations about getting the proper ammo? And why do you believe that the people here, sight unseen, can assess the ability of you gun to tolerate 23/4" cases? 2.5" ammo is easy to make. If I were you I'd give it a try before I stuffed some modern 23/4" whatsis in there.
