UPDATE
Thanks to Shinbone for the tip on Art's. Got my 101 back today after less than a 6 week stay at Art's. This gun was not refinished. It was restored to better than factory finish. Art did superb work for a very reasonable price and in a super reasonable time frame. I've seen a lot of work done on some fine guns, but I've never seen better work than Art did. I'd highly recommend him to anyone wishing to have cosmetic work done on a gun. Simply awesome work and a pleasure to do business with. By the way,as it turns out, the finish was Silver Nitride.
