ACCORDING TO CONSIGNER IT IS ONE OF A SMALL QUANTITY OF GUNS ORDERED BY THE ARMY AIR FORCE IN 1942 TO TRAIN AERIAL GUNNERS IN THE BASIC SHOOOTING SKILLS REQUIRED TO HIT MOVING TARGETS. In May, you bought this gun without checkering on the forend and in July it was "...checkering is sharp. could have been redone. if so, long ago."
