Well ya pay $200 you get $200. Getting into things today and made some discoveries. First: What is missing here and can it be fixed?   Something very wrong here too. What do you think they were trying to do?  I will post more as I find more while I try to resurrect this gem.

It appears tp me that you may have a forearm iron that was originally made for the J.C. Kremer & A.H. Fox Patent No. 1,029,374 style forearm fastening, that someone has attempted to fit to a forearm lug for a F.T. Russell Patent No. 1,029,229 style forearm.

You need the later forend iron with the roller that will fit you barrel lug.The Kremer iron has the spring setup in the iron and a simple lug on barrels. Bobby
