ChiefShotguns Sidelock Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 2,307 Georgia	A Model 453 is a Model 4 with Model 53 Wood. The Model 53 is a top of the line sidelock gun, and the wood reserved for them is of higher quality. They put a stick of Model 53 wood on a lower grade boxlock Model 4 just to fancy it up a bit. Seems to work, they are fairly popular. God Bless America.
