I posted this on another forum with pictures that are BIG, so I won't post them here.

I found it this weekend at the OGCA meet at not much more the cost of the components. If Joe or anyone else has any articles or more information on Apex I would appreciate it. The barrel is marked 7MM Apex match grade.

Send me your email and I'll send you a copy of their catalog.

Monty Kennedy started doing stocks for Apex so if your rifle has a nice custom stock you might post pictures of it.

Michael, it's posted over on the Accurate forum with big pictures. I think the stock was made by someone in Grand Rapids. I haven't taken it apart yet.

You should have my email, but it's texraid1 at fuse.net.

How about a close-up of the barrel marking?

(BTW: Jerry Fisher's first stockmaking job was at Apex after GS School in Denver, circa early 50's? That how he hooked up with Monte Kennedy.)

Sam May was the genius behind Apex Barrel Co. I believe they moved to Phoenix 25- 30 years ago from here in L.A. Sam rebarreled a Martini Cadet for me in .218Bee about 40 years ago. I don't know if the company still exsists. ...MIKE...

At one point I owned, of all weirdities, a Steyr 1895 straight pull in .243 Winchester with Apex barrel stocked by Monte Kennedy.
