I have used Galazan orange pads for quite a while. The black spacer plate was soft on them for a while & they corrected it. I just sent out a rifle with one that left the shop fine, but when it arrived in FL it had curled away from the toe - almost like it got hot and moved under the screw pressure. Anybody else have issues like this?

I have tried the Silvers pads, and while period correct I find them to be only slightly better than a steel buttplate in the recoil absorbtion department.

I am thinking about using the Griffin & Howe, but they look (in the pencil drawing on G&H website) very similar to the Galazan pad & I dont want more of the same for $5 more per pad. What about the Decelerator in Red or Brown?
