The most common feeding problem I have run across with the 1903 is the last round pops out when the bolt is drawn to the rear.

These and other problems I have fixed by just replacing the follower. I have several and just try one until it works. One that did not work in one rifle now resides in another. I don't know the science or mechanics of why, I do it, it works.
