i just looked on hodgdon`s web site,they dont even list claydot! i emailed alliant sat,told me to try green or red dot!!!!!!duhneither one is low pressure.

I used Greendot in a published 7000 ish psi load a while back...can't remember details though Franc

Thomas, Claydot is Alliant, not Hodgdon. (It's basically Alliant's answer to Clays.) Go to their website: www.alliantpowder.com. I use two different Claydot loads, both in Rem STS or Gun Club hulls. The 7/8 oz load is 5400 psi, the 1 oz load 6800.

I've been very happy with Nitro 100 for low pressure 12 loads, for several years and Unique for my 28. All loads right out of the booklets(or slightly less). 1150 fps works fine for all my shooting. I tried 7625 ib my early days of shooting Damascus guns and never liked it.
