Was the thought that the gun would use ammunition with felt wads? I'm thinking felt wads would seal up a little better with that tight a bore.
I'm pretty sure plastic shot cups aren't the hot ticket with a gun so bored, just from studying the pattern boards with their use.
Anybody care to weigh in? Gun is a Spanish Uggy, nice enough old piece (1972) but, not old enough for the maker to discount the use of shot cup ammunition.
Thanks in advance,
Best,
Ted
The answer to your question is "NO". Absolutely not. The last 50 years or so of ammunition production w/ plastic wads clearly demonstrate that they are superior in terms of improved patterns relative to bare lead as well as every other factor that a wad needs to address.
You, of course, are perfectly free to hold whatever opinions you choose no matter how erroneous or deluded they may be.

PS - Stuck wads have nothing to do with bore size or wad type. I suggest utilizing the proper quantity of gunpowder as a simple and universal solution.
