Roy Hebbes Sidelock Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 1,164 Likes: 11 Canada	Clabrough&Johnstone ceased to trade circa 1937.I have Owned two C&J guns #14606 a 12G,S.L.N.E that was tentatively dated as circa 1930,s.The second gun was a 12G B.L.E # 13671. Both of these guns bore 1925 Birmingham nitro proof marks. On the basis of these serial numbers and the proof marks on your gun a reasonable estimate for the date of manufacture is mid to late 1920.s Roy Hebbes
