Lyles Golden Syrup & Treacle is still readily available in the supermarkets.Hardly used in the house hold today due to lack of marketing, but as Pedler said in our childhood syrup and treacle butties were a staple diet. Black treacle on toast used to be yummie. I think I will buy a tin today.
