Hi Bushmaster:
I have used the following guy in the past with great results:
Harry Loos Lincoln, Nebraska 402-435-435-6816
He charges $50.00 per hole to get them to shoot where you want plus postage of course.
Give him a call.
Good luck,
Franchi

Franchi, That is good information. If you can get a gun regulated for $50 per barrel it's a good deal. I saved that info. You might want to edit and delete one of the 435s in the number tho'. Stan

I've had several fixed choke Perazzi competition guns adjusted by Kenny Eyster of Centerburg, OH. Kenny has now passed on but his sons continue the business under the tradename: Heritage Gunsmiths. Jim apprenticed under his Father and is fully qualified to do this work. The process involves setting up the barrel on a specially adapted lathe, and using a DRAW REAMER with short flutes to slightly open the choke, at a tangent to the bore. They know how much to offset the tailstock to adjust for the POI you want. The process is time consuming and I'm sure it's not a $50.00 job, but if you want the best for a high quality gun, that's the place to go. The walls of the shop are covered with pics with autographs by some of the big names in the clays shooting disciplines..... gents who use the shop for their work. Silvers
I AM SILVERS, NOT SLIVER = two different members. I'm in the northeast, the other member is in MT.

I was at Harry Loos a year or two ago. While he was doing something, I noticed some barrels leaning in a rack; so I picked them up...Purdey, Holland & Holland, etc. I asked him where the barrels came from, and he gave me the name of a very famous gunsmith, and said "He sends them to me to do the chokes on." Harry has done several barrels for me. I am always more than pleased with the results.

Hi All:
Good eye Stan!I did have to many numbers if the phone number!
I want to state that after Mr. Loos adjusted my gun the choke went from modified to a light modified as if this makes any difference to me. LOL
Mr. Loos service is a great way to correct a problem. Oh yes, I think that Briely wanted about $300.00 to make an eccentric choke tube to solve this problem. That was out of the question for me! If I find a gun that I want but the poi is off, I deduct the cost of having Mr.Loos doing his magic and price the gun accordingly.
The last gun the I turned down had the poi off 4" at 7O' clock at 10 yards! It was a sweet O/U 20 gage that I had to have until I shot it.
Respectfully yours,
Franchi

The article I referred to is in The NRA Gunsmithing Guide, mine is from 1971. Also, in this good book is an article on making a jug choking tool, for adding choke to cyl. bored muzzle loaders. It contains a wealth of good information for home tinkerers and amateur gunsmiths. I saw some updated versions on Ebay. Don't know if it's still available from the NRA, or not.
There is an amazing amount of other information about shotguns in that book. If you like to tinker as many of us do, it's a book you really should have.
