The article I referred to is in The NRA Gunsmithing Guide, mine is from 1971. Also, in this good book is an article on making a jug choking tool, for adding choke to cyl. bored muzzle loaders. It contains a wealth of good information for home tinkerers and amateur gunsmiths. I saw some updated versions on Ebay. Don't know if it's still available from the NRA, or not.
There is an amazing amount of other information about shotguns in that book. If you like to tinker as many of us do, it's a book you really should have.
