Jack. That is a very interesting rifle. Very interesting. I have never seen an FN model, but it is basically the same as a Remington M8, and later, an 81. Yours has a ribbed barrel, I have never seen a Remington with such a rib. As far as the mount, I think you have good info and pictures on the Stoeger mount, where you can find one is a real guess. It would be expensive, but you could have a Griffin and Howe mount and rings made up an fitted to the rifle. The mount and rings work pretty much the same as the Stoeger. The scope must be mounted off to the side of the left side of the rifle, as the rifle ejects straight up. Years ago I have mounted Weaver side mounts to this rifle, but it is a poor setup and I would not suggest it.
