MP,
Try shooting it off the barrel only, either ahead of the forend, or take the forend off.

Good shooting.

Maybe it is time to try another brand of primers.

This rifle does not shoot well off the barrel. The first thing I do with every single-shot is shoot them off the barrel. Both Niedner .25 HP's will not shoot off the barrel.

Your note gives me an idea, somewhere around here I have a spare Borchardt forend.

This same load and lot of primers are delivering .2 &.3 in the other Borchardt. I am going to change powder and maybe go back to base-band bullets. As always only one change at a time.

Sorry just frost, no snow yet.

A bobsled would not be appropriate for this rifle. I know I have some weird ideas about what is proper and not, just not for me on this rifle.

And Yes! even though I have Mr. Niedner's sled it's a no go.

Michael, you need a heated shooting house and I need an air-conditioned one! But then there's still those pesky trips down to the target frames and back.......Bah!

A electric motor and a couple pulleys and a push button could take care of that. Smile Whitey

Yeah, I already thought about that but the place I shoot has target frames out to 500 yds. However my friend Fearless Frank has promised us a large fan (at least) for next year. We'll see. Maybe Michael can adapt some ski-lift hardware to get out past 100 yds. Major Nonte used to have a shooting van with an inside benchrest and a hole in the side to shoot from and all his handloading & test paraphernalia installed inside. I don't know whether he had outriggers or not, I woulda wanted 'em.
