I'll check them all out. On the phone today I talked with a man who has one in his shop. He said it was Acanthus leaf.

In the early years G&H hired stockmakers who I believe did the whole stock. If you look at No. 15 above it appears to be the work of Fred Adolph. I'll have to dig out a better copy.

Up until a few years ago no one knew Fred Adolph worked for G&H, now they do.

I'm on the trail of this maker and feel I have a good idea who it was.

I get along fine with the folks at G&H but this is beyond their scope of things.
