Dave thanks for the assistance. I really appreciate your time and trouble.
My two loading for my 10 gauge are: 1 1/4 ounce shot, muzzle velocity 1140 fps with a chamber pressure of only 4066 psi loaded in Winchester Super X paper hulls trimmed to 2 7/8th inches and roll crimped. Second load is 1 1/4 ounce shot with a muzzle velocity of 1175 fps with a chamber pressure of 4866 psi loaded in Federal plastic hulls trimmed to 2 7/8th and roll crimped. When Tom Armbrust tested them he recommended increasing the powder charge by 2 grains for the first load and 1 grain for the second load and using Federal 209A primer for more reliable cold weather performance.
I'll keep this project in mind durring the hunting season. I'm not quite sure what I would do with an 8 bore but then again I don't do much with a 10 gauge that weighs almost 10 1/2 lbs.
