PeteM posted a video clip from the Marlin Firearms factory which showed what you are speaking of....circa 1920's I believe....he will be along and can paste this clip for you I think.....

Pete purchased the clip I believe from the Marlin Collectors Association and can tell you how to purchase one if you want a copy as well....you could also send him a PM and ask him.....
