Regarding a 32-40 Marlin lever action cocking slide. There seems to be some difficulty with the nub on the underside of the cocking slide when it passes over the top of the hammer upon cocking. There is also some difficulty when the nub passes over the hammer upon moving the lever to the closed position. The nub appears as though it is too high causing undue pressure on the top of the hammer with each pass of the cocking slide. Any suggestions to remedy the problem would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. G.
