That is weird. A close friend of mine just got himself a new 687 for quail, and remarked that his "bit" him as well. I have opened mine over 10,000 times without that happening. Guess it is just how you happen to be holding it. I"ll bet you won't do it again, Tyler.
OTOH, I remember my Grandaddy telling me about a fellow around here who worked in a cotton gin. Said he put his hand in the wrong place and lost a finger. After it healed, a while later, he was showing someone how it happenend and put his hand back in the same place. You guessed it, lost another finger! Don't let THAT happen!
