Less than perfect fit is not all that unusual on guns with Greeners. The Germans usually do a pretty good job with Mr. Greener's invention; the Spanish, not so consistently. But Dustin may have hit on it too. I have a nice little Sauer 20, older gun, on which the metal surrounding the bolt hole in the fence is actually just a little bit proud of the bolt itself--the reverse of your problem. But, like yours, mine is dead on face, not a bit of wiggle. However, my toplever is dead center, and it could well be that as wear occurred and the lever moved a bit left, the bolt seated in just a hair.
