Have you ever used a Baby Frame Model 101, 28 gauge, Quail Special? Apparently not.
Tried to buy one a few years ago, but the deal didn't work out. If you want to ship me yours, I'd be happy to use it for a while and report back here.
As I recall, the baby frame 101's in 28 gauge only came with stubby barrels. I really prefer 28" minimum on all my break action guns. Could the 101 Quail Special be had with 28"?
By the way, I do have a couple of 101's in 12 and .410, so I am familiar with the guns and like them a lot. There are some issues, though, such as short barrels on the small bores and thin barrel walls at the muzzle on the 12's (mine is SK/SK and I like tighter chokes, but there is not enough meat to fit thinwalls). The other problem I have with all the 12's I have seen is a relatively short LOP and the butt ugly pad that Winchester insisted on. I restocked my 12 with a proper stock from a Nikko (no pad and a hard plate).
