Maxm, you are not alone in your high regard for the written works of Burrard. The only books I value more (from a technical point of view) are those penned by Gough Thomas. His complete name was Gough Thomas Garwood and in addition to his interest in things "shotgun-technical" he had the formal engineering background to understand the various complexities of the subject. There is a very good recent book on things "shotgun-technical" called Shotgun Technicana by Michael McIntosh and David Trevallion but it is not as all-encompassing as Gough Thomas' several books.
