Hi guys, since the board has been down, managed to finish the William Powell (which is a best gun from the maker, 1905, owned by an English Lord smile ), the Lancaster slide and tilt (or drop if you prefer) and picked up a broken Hussey and Hussey which I'm in the middle of fixing. This is a beautiful gun with 90% of it's colour still left on it, single gun and not one of a pair!

I've got a blank but I've tried something new...titanium rods in it and mended it..it looks amazing and is probably stronger than it first was given the figuring was not good for strength. It looks splendid atm...so if that works I want to shoot it soon...then might get it restocked at some point. Take a look at my blog for more pics and you'll see what I mean and what a great gun it is.

GREAT stuff, Tony! That Powell is over the top without BEING over the top, know what I mean? Just fantastic, as are the Lancaster and Hussey. Good to see your hands were not idle during the torturous month without the forumns!

Hi Marc et al, thanks for the comments. Yes tried to cram as much restoration fun in as I can. Life about to change my time available this week as going in for intensive chemotherapy...not sure how my body is going to react but I hope I can continue doing stuff in the short to mid term.

Best
T

Great pictures, nice guns and your work in repairing and sometimes restoring these guns is much admired by myself and many others. I will keep you in my prayers for a full and speedy restoration of your own body.

Tony, hope you got my pictures I sent of my Hussey. You did a fantastic repair on the Hussey, wish mine had the pistol grip like yours.
Did you ever say what the barrel length was on that gun?
Mike
