I'm not sure what you are implying or asking, and it makes no sense to me because I have never mentioned torch colors and I'm not sure if Parker ever case colored a VH grade. When I first saw the gun the receiver was polished to the point that it interfered with the Parker name and the border engraving showed evidence of polishing. My friend wanted the engraving touched up and case coloring applied to the applicable metal parts.

The torch question was directed at Ed Good, who is the leading proponent on this BBS of "controlled temperature" torch coloring. He may be the only proponent.

They were all case colored from the factory (although there may be an exception or two). Early guns were bone charcoal cased and later Remington guns were cyanide cased.
