Many Birmingham makers of this era advertised 28G guns in their catalogues [ie:usually under the heading,as boys or collectors guns]. They are however scarce. Based on cartridge sales by Eley it would appear that less than 0.5% of guns made upto circa 1980 were 28G.By comparison 12G accounted for 87% of their cartridge sales.!

Looks like the typical Bonehill. A buy it now of $32.00 would be more appropriate.

Scott made between 200-250 28ga guns in the 60's and 70's. While not all that common, they're probably the most frequently seen Brit 28's.

For a 4˝ lb 28ga even if it is a Bonehill with 2˝" chambers I'd go $320.00.

Is it possible that Bonehill imported this as an unfinished gun? This example looks to be of typical Belgian quality for that time period. jim
