I am preparing to restock an Ithaca Grade 3 Lewis which currently has a modified Flues stock on it. I am wondering what the correct grip cap looks like? Also wondering if these guns could be ordered with a pad. If so what were the options? My gun was built in 1904 according to the serial number. Also would this stock have been oiled or varnished? I am trying to replicate as close to original finish as possible. Thanks for any help.
