Just a thought,,your pre-carved stock (assuming you're using one) for the project may be a decent pattern for the tang bend. If it has a precision cut for the bottom PG tang done,,that will give you a nice idea of the curve needed.
I do have a couple of straight '73 tangs around here somewhere. If I can find them, I'll take a pic of them along side the PG tang from the '73 above for a comparison. Maybe that will help also.
Have to find them first!
If not I'll take the butt stock off of a 3rd model I have for comparison.
