Superb engraving, splendid rifle building, unexpectedly inappropriate chambering, totally amateurish buttplate treatment. Too bad.

The charm of the piece is the fact that it IS a .22 IMHO.
But what would any owner ever actually USE it for? I frequently take my guns into the field, all of them including (actually ESPECIALLY) the fancy engraved ones, and IMO any of them should be capable of being a joy to use appropriately as well as a joy to behold at leisure. Just part of the charm of the genre I guess, to have utility as well as aesthetics!
It might be different if my rifles were on display as a part of the house decor or even the shop decor, but I keep 'em mostly locked in the safe when not actually in use.
But it IS certainly unusual! Too bad about the buttplate.
