Frank Pachmyer sold the business to a couple of investors in the early 1980's and they ran it at 1220 S. Grand for a couple years before moving to the Whittier Narrows shooting range. Frank stayed on for a while and they let him keep his office. I had the occasion to talk with him one afternoon , inquiring about a Parker 8 ga. that had been hanging on the wall forever, Not For Sale, and of course the new owners had sold it.
He asked me "Would you like to see my office? They have let me keep it. All the guns in there are mine." I jumped at it and spent an hour or so with him talking about the business and his guns. The walls were lined with them, both rifles and shotguns. I wish cell phone technology with camera's was available then as I sure would have taken photos.
I don't think the Pasadena and Whittier Narrows stores lasted very long. The new owners got out of the gun business and were going to concentrate on making the White Line Recoil pads.
